Author missing Matins Gospel pericopes across nocturn-readings store
~110 of 355 nocturn-readings files had a patristic homily with no
paired Gospel-pericope text -- the homily discussing a Gospel that was
never itself transcribed into the file. Closed in two waves (the first
pass's source-string regex missed many real cases where the citation
lived only in a header comment or wasn't named at all), each entry
sourced from divinum-officium-reference's own Missale files (following
Sancti/Commune redirects where a feast reuses another's Gospel) and
verified per file rather than assumed -- several candidates turned out
to be genuine Nocturn 2 content or Common-of-saints cross-references
with no proper Gospel of their own, correctly left untouched.

Includes both live-reported gaps: St. Joseph of Cupertino's own Bk. II
Homily 38 (Matt 22:1-14) and the Vigil of St. Matthew's Ambrose homily
(Luke 5:27-32).

TODO.md logs the closed item plus a new, distinct follow-up: a handful
of files with no Nocturn 3 content authored at all (not just an
unpaired Gospel), found along the way.

npm test (2029 passed) and tsc --noEmit both pass.

# Matins Nocturn 2-3 readings for Ss. Simon and Jude, Apostles (Oct
# 28) — SanctiM/10-28.txt inherits the whole day (`@Sancti/10-28`)
# with no Nocturn 2/3 override, so this feast's own proper content is
# sourced from the Tridentine track exactly as for a pre-1955 saint
# (see memory vu-matins-pre1955-saints, vu-matins-sanctim-saints).
# web/www/horas/Latin/Sancti/10-28.txt, English/Sancti/10-28.txt.
#
# Nocturn 2: Lectio4 (both Apostles' vita, single lesson — Lectio5-6
# fall back to Common of Apostles, not proper text, so not authored
# here).
# Nocturn 3: Lectio7's Gospel citation (John 15:17-25) is a bare
# incipit ("Et réliqua") with no full pericope text given, so — per
# the pre-1955 pass's convention of not transcribing bare incipits —
# only the homily portion was originally authored (not marked
# isGospel), a single excerpt of St. Augustine's Tract 87 on John. No
# responsory given for either reading.
#
# Update (2026-09-05): the Gospel pericope itself is now authored too
# (isGospel: true, immediately before Augustine's homily) — sourced
# from the day's own Missale [Evangelium] in
# web/www/missa/Latin/Sancti/10-28.txt (full text given there, not a
# redirect).

innumerábiles fílios Jesu Christo peperíssent fidémque in vastíssimis illis

Simon the Canaanite, called also Zelotes, went through Egypt preaching the Gospel,
whileas the like was done in Mesopotamia by Thaddaeus, called also in the Gospel Judas
the brother of James, and the writer of one of the Catholic Epistles. They met together
afterwards in Persia, where they begat countless children in Jesus Christ, spread the
faith far and wide in those lands, amid raging heathens, and glorified together by
their teaching and miracles, and, in the end, by a glorious martyrdom, the most holy
name of Jesus Christ.

In illo témpore: Dixit Jesus discípulis suis: Hæc mando vobis, ut diligátis ínvicem. Si
mundus vos odit: scitóte, quia me priórem vobis odio hábuit.
nésciunt eum, qui misit me.
odit.
eórum scriptus est: Quia ódio habuérunt me gratis.

At that time, Jesus said to His disciples, "These things I command you, that you may
love one another. If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before you. If you
were of the world, the world would love what is its own. But because you are not of the
world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember
the word that I have spoken to you: No servant is greater than his master. If they
persecuted Me, they will persecute you also; if they have kept My word, they will keep
yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do
not know Him Who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin.
But now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also. If I had
not done among them works such as no one else has done, they would have no sin. But now
they have seen, and have hated both Me and My Father; but that the word written in their
Law may be fulfilled, 'They have hated Me without cause.'"

In lectióne evangélica quæ hanc antecédit, díxerat Dóminus: Non vos me elegístis; sed

In the reading from the Gospel, the last before this, the Lord had said: Ye have not
chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go, and bring forth
fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in
My Name, He may give it you. And here He saith: These things I command you, that ye
love one another. And by this it is that we must understand what fruit from us it is,
whereof He saith: I have chosen, that ye should go, and bring forth fruit, and that
your fruit should remain, and so the words added: That whatsoever ye shall ask of the
Father in My Name, He may give it you. He will give unto us when we love one another,
since this mutual love is itself the gift of Him Who hath chosen us when as yet we were
fruitless, since it hath not been we who have chosen Him, but He Who hath chosen us,
and ordained us, that we should go, and bring forth fruit, that is to say, should love
one another.
